Frank Mann

Born in Washington, D.C., Frank Mann is a painter, draughtsman, and printmaker. The recipient of numerous grants and awards, he has exhibited widely including exhibitions in New York, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, and Berlin. His work has been seen in exhibitions in Asia, including Seoul, Taipei and Tokyo, across the United States from Miami to Seattle, and in South America, in Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo. His work may be found in numerous public and private collections including the Museum of Modern Art, Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Guggenheim Museum, New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Nice, France, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. In 2007, an installation of his paintings was exhibited at the Chapelle des Salelles, St. Maurice D'Ibie, (Ardèche) France, as part of the International Festival D'Art Contemporain. A recent program in three parts on DVD titled 'Mission Vision: The Art of Frank Mann' is currently in production. His work will be represented in a new book entitled "Esthetics and Contemporary Art" published by ATcultura of Cordoba, Argentina. The paintings of Frank Mann, as well as the Oculus Series, are the subject of a recently published essay by art critic Ed McCormack titled Vision and Consciousness in the Art of Frank Mann. He is listed in '2000 Outstanding Artists and Designers of the 20th Century', 2001, The Biographical Encyclopedia of American Painters, Sculptors, and Engravers of the U.S., 2003, The International Dictionary of Artists, 2010-11, and Who's Who in the World, 32nd Edition, 2015. He lives and works in New York City.
